Bernard L. Madoff may have company soon. A disbarred South Florida lawyer agreed in federal court on Wednesday to plead guilty later this month to charges accusing him of running Ponzi scheme that cheated thousands of investors out of $1.2 billion.
A court-appointed trustee and a Manhattan law firm working together to unravel Bernard Madoff’s massive fraud have rung up an additional $22.1 million in legals fees, saying they’ve worked ”thousands of hours” on a job that will take years to complete, The Associated Press reported.
